Saturday on the Road

This morning we visited Steven and I got to play with his mini kitchen. Mommy said I am great at visiting teaching and we delivered the cookies I helped her make yesterday. I also picked a few flowers and helped daddy wash the dishes. One of my favorite things to do is to play the window game in the car. We roll the window up. Then I ask please and mom rolls the window down. Then I ask and we roll it up. The breeze is really nice.
Today we went to IKEA. I got to pick a toy because I was good in the car and I picked paints. I also got to eat meatballs and yogurt and drink apple juice. Daddy and I played in the toys while mommy took care of baby Mark. I was very patient and stayed right with my family.

Friday Daddy comes home.

Today I got to play all day long. I love playing outside with daddy. He set up the sandbox I got for my birthday.
I try to make mommy happy all the time. We play piano and I focus even though it is hard for me. and I help her turn the mixer on and off when we are making cookies. I love making cookies and giving them to people. and I picked most of the flowers out of the front yard.
I like to entertain baby Mark- and I need to get my picture taken sometimes too. I painted a picture for daddy today.

Today was take your children to work day. I brought daddy lunch. His classes were canceled so I didn't stay.

Danielle's Desk

You might not recognize it but we all have desks in Danielle's house. I thought I was buying my dream coffee table at the Pottery Barn and it *gasp* wasn't on sale. Danielle knew what it was- her desk. She likes to color on it. and eat breakfast on it. and gather her toys on it. Once she left a soaking aqua doddle pad on it overnight and ruined the finish. and just like that- she owned it.
Today Danielle earned her My little pony house for going on the potty enough. I forgot and left her diaper on after her nap so I think I will have to make sure tomorrow she only gets diapers for bedtime. Perhaps- *double gasp* no nap.
She hid behind it to take a picture. after a liesurely morning of Team Umi Zoomi Danielle went to her art studio to paint a picture. Best Ikea purchase ever. We played. We watched shows. I am a little sick so I took some medicine.
I think Danielle and i might have to quit piano lessons- I don't have the patience for it. But we won't quit this week because I already paid. Today was frustrating. I am always open to child development books. Unless they tell me three is too early to start piano lessons. and too late to potty train.

Friends

Today Danielle played with her friend David in the morning. I introduced him to the world of Pirates- we have a house rule that pirates aren't allowed to attack an unarmed enemy. There is no honor in it. I guess we run a household of honorable pirates.
Danielle painted and took pictures with her phony cell phone. Now it is important to take pretend photos every day. Some days Danielle only wants me to take pretend photos. She asked me to take pictures of her and let me take photos of her while she was photographing me. She also took a great nap so today was pretty magical.
Danielle stole Mark's baby food during our inside picnic on the yoga mat. She is anemic so I let her eat the beef and they both ate more than they normally would. Then Kitty and Danielle went swimming in a bin in her room. She helped me go through her clothes and put away all the ones that are too small.

Danielle Paints a House

Today was full of adventure.
Danielle the artist painted a beautiful picture. She also helped wash grapes. Then she found something truly wonderful- a birdhouse. Danielle the artist loves birdhouses. She asked her mom and then painted it. She got to play outside and watch mommy try to start the lawn mower. Today is the first day Danielle wore big girl panties. They have my little ponies on them. Danielle went out to dinner with mommy and daddy and lots of the medical school students. They all played with her.

Danielle and the Birthday Cupcakes

Today Danielle got to go to church with the Cousins. She also got to wear her beautiful shirt from yesterday. She was thrilled when she found out that Aunt Sara made her cupcakes to eat for her birthday. Eddie and Danielle played with their dinner and played on the couch. They fed each other and told each other stories. She got to play in the sandbox with the cousins, like they did Saturday with the Chickens. Danielle was thrilled when Daddy came to Mark and Sara's house. She slept on the way back home.
